This Buddha statue of 42 feet height is the largest free-standing crystalline time stone-hewn statue in the Island. Of 6th century AD origin, it is in Maligawila in Okkampitiya area. There are strong evidences that the largest Image House in the island (of a length and breadth of 80 x 80 feet) had once circumscribed this gigantic statue.
