Walking Meditation - By Mithra Wettimuny

The process of walking can be used as an object of meditation to acquire serene concentration. Infact, it is quite straight forward but nevertheless extremely effective. Furthermore as it may be difficult for many to sit cross legged for long periods of time, it is very valuable to cultivate this meditation. One's concentration and serenity can reach very high levels in this practice.

One requires ideally a minimum of 30 foot length to walk on. It should be solid and fairly even ground. Ideally one should walk bare-footed if conditions permit it.
