Mr. Mithra Wettimuny is a Sri Lankan and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants of United Kingdom. He is presently the Chairman of a commercial and an industrial organisation, and has been in business management for over 20 years. He was also a Test Cricketer of Sri Lanka and is a father of two sons.
He was guided in meditation by the late Venerable Matara Sri Nanarama Maha Thera of the jungle Hermitage of Nissarana Vanaya, Meethirigala, Sri Lanka, one of the most venerated meditation masters of Sri Lanka. Mr Mithra Wettimuny is well-known in Sri Lanka as a meditaion teacher.
